MIRFAK Audio WE10 is a compact wireless audio system that works on a digital 2.4GHz frequency band. The WE10 Pro version offers dual transmitters. Each transmitter has a built-in omnidirectional mic, a 3.5mm input jack for external mics, and can also record backup audio to a MicroSD memory card. The system is available for $169 ($249 for the WE10 Pro).

There has been a number of wireless audio systems emerging lately. Some of those even feature dual transmitters in case you want to record a two-way interview. One example is the new RODE Wireless GO II that was announced at the end of February 2021.

The wireless system from MIRFAK Audio launched around the same time, as well. If you wonder what MIRFAK Audio is, it is a part of Gudsen Technology – the Chinese company behind MOZA gimbals. Let’s take a short look at the it!

First things first, there are two different kits: the WE10 and the WE10 Pro. The regular MIRFAK Audio WE10 offers one transmitter and one receiver, whereas the WE10 Pro version includes two transmitters and one receiver. The clip-on transmitter has a built-in 360° omnidirectional microphone, but it also offers a 3.5mm input jack for external microphones.

On top of sending the audio signal to the receiver and its connected camera, the WE10 transmitter can also record the audio. There is a MicroSD card slot on each transmitter for backup audio recording. That could potentially save the audio in case there was an interference during recording. There is a simple STOP/REC switch on the transmitter, that activates or stops the recording feature. Unfortunately, there is no information on the exact bitrate of the recorded audio and whether it is possible to control gain on the recording.

The receiver features a multi-function screen that provides visual monitoring of the power and audio signal levels. Additionally, there is a 3.5mm jack output for headphones monitoring. The audio can be muted by pressing the mute button. According to the company, there are 5 levels of gain.

The WE10 operates on a 2.4GHz digital wireless frequency band. According to MIRFAK Audio, the system automatically changes transmission frequency to mitigate noise and dropouts at a line-of-sight distance of up to 30m. Both TX and RX have built-in batteries that can be charged with USB-C ports.
